During Spring Break this years, we took an evening trip from St. Augustine down to Titusville for a sunset kayaking adventure and bioluminescence kayaking trip. I booked though BK Adventure and it was a fantastic trip. We saw manatees, birds of all sorts, fantastic sunset, and then the bioluminescence show began. We learned about comb jellies, saw the gentle flicker of bioluminescence and even about shrimpers in the area.

When it came time to plan our summer adventure, we knew we wanted to come back to Titusville and explore more. Because it was on our way to our main destination, I booked a night at the Courtyard Marriott Titusville and let me just say, it’s a destination. You could easily spend four days in this area or drop in on your way to a cruise port or Disney.

Of course this property is located near the Space Center entrance so the space theme fits perfectly.

The rooms have the space theme carried throughout complete with binoculars for stargazing and a nightlight that will fill your ceiling with stars.

The pool is amazing! There are lots of chairs and tables for sunning and a pool bar, ping pong table and water fountain.

But wait… there is more….so much more in fact!

If you plan your visit around a rocket launch, the property has absolutely amazing viewing options. There are rooms with a private balcony with Adirondack chairs that face the launch pad across the river. There is also a section of chairs that are perfect for a launch watching gathering.

But wait… there is still more!

Like any other Courtyard Marriott, there is a Starbucks, bar and restaurant in the lobby but the real star of the show is….

The rooftop restaurant/bar… The Space Bar.

We had already had an amazing dinner at the iconic Dixie Crossroads (more on this one in the next blog) but wanted to check out the rooftop dining so we ordered nachos and drinks and oh my… don’t skip out on this one. Menu items are space themed as expected and this isn’t “restaurant tasting” food. It was really good. The space is family friendly as well. There are games and a seating area. The view is perfect anytime but sunset would be a favorite for sure as the sun sets over the Indian River looking back toward the launch pad. Last but not least, the staff was exceptionally friendly!

This phenomenal property is on our list of bring the family back to. The area has so much more to see and do including: The War Bird Museum, The Police Hall of Fame and Museum, Kennedy Space Center, the stunning Cape Canaveral National Seashore, Merritt Island, and kayaking adventures.

Another couple of blog posts are coming about this area so stay tuned for those over the next few days.

As always, I would love to be your travel agent. Titusville is a great getaway with a plethora of things to do, nature experiences and more… Exodus Travel in Dublin, Georgia would love to get you booked. exodustravel.co
